Lonestar Cowboy

Circus in Winter Reflection:

Sibling rivalry was boldly apparent in this story which is something that as an only child I have no experience with. The Cain/Abel comparison was great. The parallels between the old west and the shadows of the past in the barn added to the descriptions of the circus house. It's interesting that the mother of the boys should have so little imagination and be forced to live in such a place with murals on every wall.
The cold description when one twin shot the other was a little surprising and it added to the feeling that the mother was somewhat separated from reality whcih seems to happen to everyone involved in the circus.
