Circus in Winter Reflection:

This story is about softball! Which is awesome..but at the same time it deals with the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball which is a little strange. The characters in the story are connected to other things we've read which seems to be Cathy Day's way of doing things. It's amazing how cold and unfeeling laura is though. The sex scene lacks any emotion at all and is merely a description of the moment.
In the end you feel sympathy for Laura, but it's not necessarily for her as a character but for the situations which she gets put in.
